We also advise not to give multiple treatments at the same time. You should leave 2 weeks between administering spot-on treatment (e.g. Advocate) and a worming tablet (e.g. Milbemax).


Can I worm and flea at the same time?

Because fleas can carry worms, your indoor cat should be wormed as well. It's better to be safe than sorry, and both flea and worm treatment is easy and safe, whereas elimination of parasites once they have taken hold can be more complicated. A regular flea and worm treatment regime will keep your cat - and you!

How far apart should you flea and worm a dog?

Treatment and prevention They should have their first treatment at three weeks old and after that, they should be wormed every two weeks until they are 16 weeks old. After 16 weeks, they will need a treatment every one-three months (or as regularly as your vet suggests).

Can worming and flea tablets make dogs sick?

As with all tablets, dogs can occasionally vomit shortly after taking the dose and can bring the tablet back up again. If this happens ensure you report this to your vet, ask their advice about when and how best to de-worm your dog.
