What is the difference between a Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute?

The Alaskan Malamute is much larger than the Siberian Husky. These giants are stockier and more muscular. Malamutes also have longer fur that is much fluffier. Their fur comes in the same color, but, Huskies have a white mask on their face and Malamutes have a white cap on their head.


Is Alaskan husky and Alaskan Malamute the same?

Unlike the Alaskan husky, the Alaskan malamute is an officially recognized dog breed according to the American Kennel Club. Like the Siberian husky, the Alaskan malamute is also part of the Working dog group. Alaskan malamutes, alongside Siberian huskies, are also occasionally trained as racing sled dogs.
