At what age do lurchers calm down?

【Expert answer】
Any Q

Mine have all been at their worst behaviour wise from around 12-18 months to be honest. But they've not magically changed at 18 months,it's been more of a gradual maturing. 25 сент. 2014 г.

At what age do dogs start to mellow?

Most dogs are going to start calming down at around six to nine months of age. By the time they've reached full maturity, which is between one and two years of age, all that excessive puppy energy should be a thing of the past! Of course, every dog is different.

Can you train a Lurcher not to chase?

You can also do both! This takes a lot of work, practice and time. Don't then just let them off lead and expect them not to chase until this is so engrained in them that they are making the right decision every single time. Off lead exercise is NOT essential.

How do you make a Lurcher happy?

Exercise Requirements Pet lurchers love company and so they make ideal companions. They are suited to active homes but if they get sufficient exercise they can often be quite lazy dogs at home. Lurchers seem to prefer snoozing somewhere warm and comfortable in the house. Preferably on the sofa or even your bed.
