Can a cat eat plantain chips?

【Expert answer】
Any Q

Although plantains are safe for cats to eat, it is still not something they should eat very much of. Plantains are high in carbohydrates which is good for us, but not much use for cats since they don't need many carbs and get it all from their regular food.

Can cats eat plantains?

Plantain is completely non-toxic to cats, so if yours takes a bite, it should not be a cause for alarm. If your cat seems to like plantains, simply give them just a small amount as a treat. About a thin slice a day is enough for a cat (a whole, or even half a plantain is too much).

Are banana chips toxic to cats?

Banana is high in simple sugars (carbs), so a cat will gain weight or get digestive issues if eaten to excess. Cats shouldn't be fed banana skins as they can cause intestinal blockages and be a choking hazard. Most cats will show little interest in eating banana as they're disinterested in sweet tastes.

Can cats eat fried banana chips?

Bananas are a safe and healthy treat for your cat, but they need to be given in small amounts like all the items on this list. Your cat shouldn't eat a banana—or even half a banana. Instead, just give her a small slice from your banana. Don't be surprised if your cat turns her nose up at your offering.

What chips can cats eat?

Flavored chips such as BBQ, All Dressed, and Ketchup chips have too much garlic in them, while sour cream and onion chips have milk powder. There really aren't any 'safe' chips for cats except perhaps plain, unsalted tortilla chips.
