Do Greyhounds get along with other dog breeds? Greyhounds have been with other dogs their entire lives, so they enjoy the company of other dogs. They are gentle and docile by nature, and therefore adapt well in homes with other non-aggressive pets.

A. Most greyhounds get on well with other dogs and many live with other breeds. Common sense and careful introductions are the key. If you have another dog, speak to our volunteers who will usually recommend that you bring them down to the kennels to help pick their new greyhound friend.

Some dogs of any breed may show aggression when approached whilst asleep or even whilst awake on their bed. However it is relatively common in greyhounds.
