Can I give my Dog Orange Juice?

【Expert answer】
Any Q

Orange juice, lemon, or grapefruit juice is highly concentrated fruit. The sugar content will be too high for your dog. Diabetic dogs or overweight dogs shouldn't have any fruit juice. The juice doesn't contain the beneficial fiber either, so dogs shouldn't have any orange or citrus juice. 22 янв. 2021 г.

What juices Can dogs drink?

Fresh fruit juices, such as apple juice or orange juice can be given as an occasional treat. But juices made of fruit concentrate are another matter. Fresh fruit juices are neither toxic nor unhealthy for dogs, just make sure the seeds have been removed before popping them into the juicer.

Can dogs drink diluted orange juice?

While oranges are a great source of vitamin C and other nutrients, oranges are not an essential part of the canine diet. Orange juice is rich in natural sugar, and it's highly acidic. Dogs should avoid sugar generally, and the acidic content of orange juice can eat away tooth enamel over time.

Is freshly squeezed orange juice good for dogs?

Not at all. “We do not recommend this. The juice–even if it is natural–is a concentrated source of the sugars and citric acid from the fruit,” says Dempsey. Since dogs don't need the vitamins in oranges, orange juice doesn't help them.
