Mixing wet and dry dog food or wet and dry cat food is fine as long as both options are of high quality and meet your pet's nutritional and other health needs. Quality wet and dry foods are formulated to provide your pet with all the protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients they need to thrive.
How much wet food do you mix with dry dog food?
There's a handy measurement table on the side of each bag of kibble. You can choose your own ratio of dry to wet food, but we generally recommend two thirds dry kibble to one third wet food.
How much wet and dry food should I feed my puppy?
Make sure you're feeding the right amount. A simple rule of thumb is to feed your puppy 20g per 1kg of body weight per day. So, if you have a puppy weighing 5kg, they will need 100g per day.
Can I mix two puppy foods?
Only mix foods for the same species and life stage (i.e. don't mix dog and cat food, or puppy and adult food together). Make sure both foods are nutritionally complete and balanced, with similar nutrient profiles.
