Can I mix real food with dog food?

If you mix homemade food together with dog food, the homemade food will be stalled by the slow digestion of balanced feed, causing improper fermentation in the stomach which will cause gases and increase the risk of suffering stomach torsion.

Can you mix table food with dog food?

Plain meats (no added sauces or spices) like chicken breast or beef mix well will dry kibble. Vegetables (plain, no sauces or seasonings) like sweet potatoes and carrots mix well. Many dogs like peas also, but digestion can be an issue if they're not soft enough. Seasonings especially mean SALT!
