Which is better NexGard or Heartgard?
Heartgard is known for preventing heart worms. Your pet should be checked for heart-worms prior to taking Heartgard. Once your dog has a negative heartworm test and prescription from your vet, you can purchase HEARTGARD Plus in clinic or through their online store.
Does NexGard cover heartworm?
When it comes to protecting your dog from heartworm, prevention is better than cure. To protect against heartworm, as well as fleas, ticks, mites and intestinal worms, we recommend NexGard SPECTRA®. For a combination dewormer that protects against heartworm, hookworm and roundworm, we suggest using HeartGard30® PLUS.
