Symptoms for intestinal worms are more obvious in puppies: They might vomit or have diarrhea, and may also have a pot-bellied appearance and a dull coat. However, almost all puppies are born with roundworms, so even those that appear healthy will usually have some worms inside them.

Do all puppies have worms in their poop?
Roundworms, also known as ascarids or nematodes, are common parasites that live inside your dog's intestines. They feed on partly digested food. Most dogs get them at one time or another. Roundworms are more common in puppies.
Can a puppy have worms without seeing them?
Dogs do not always show symptoms of worms, but if you notice any signs such as eating more than usual, poor coat quality, sickness or diarrhoea, or you see any worms in your dog's faeces or around their bottom, then you will know that they have worms.
