How long does it take for worms to show up in dog poop?

Puppies will typically poop worms for 2-3 days after they have been dewormed. However, you may still find some worms in your puppy's excrement up to a week after deworming. This is completely normal and should not alarm you. Worms are a common problem for dogs at any stage of life.

Are tapeworms always visible?

Sometimes, you can see segments of tapeworms in the pet's stool (they look like pieces of rice) or roundworms (they look similar to spaghetti). However, your pet could still have these parasites without passing any in their stool. Also, some parasites, like hookworms and giardia, cannot be seen by the naked eye.
