DO NOT use soaps, shampoos, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, herbal preparations, tea tree oil, or any other product to clean an open wound, unless specifically instructed to do so by your veterinarian. Some of these products are toxic if taken internally, while others can actually delay healing.

How many ml of hydrogen peroxide should I give my dog?

In general, the dose of hydrogen peroxide in dogs is approximately 0.5 – 1 ml per pound weight. If your dog weighs 50 pounds, you can give 25 – 50 mls of fresh, non-expired hydrogen peroxide orally, once. Keep in mind that 15 mls = 1 tablespoon (or 5 mls = 1 teaspoon), so this would be approximately 1.5 – 3.5 TBSP.

What happens if dog doesn't vomit from hydrogen peroxide?

Dogs that are unconscious cannot be induced to vomit. First off, they cannot swallow the peroxide and it gets in their lungs resulting in the potentially fatal, aspiration pneumonia. If by chance, it does get to their stomach.
