Sometimes pinworms can be seen around your anus or on your underwear or bed sheets about 2 to 3 hours after you've gone to bed. Most of the time, pinworms don't cause major problems.

It takes 3 weeks from the time the flea is swallowed to the time tapeworm segments appear on the pet's rear end or stool.

How likely are you to get a tapeworm?

You probably won't ever get one. Less than 1,000 people in the U.S. get them a year. It's extremely rare to pick one up from your pet. And if you take the right steps to cook meat, you shouldn't get one from it, either.
