There are two medications that are commonly used to treat worm infections and they are both available over the counter from a pharmacy. The generic names are Mebendazole and Pyrantel. Mebendazole is the first preference as studies in human pregnancy show no increase in adverse effects to the mother or fetus.

Deworming women during pregnancy has a positive effect on child survival and health. A recent study has found that mothers receiving deworming treatment during pregnancy reduce by 14% the risk of their child dying within the first four weeks after birth.
When can a pregnant woman take Dewormer?
De-worming using Mebendazole or Albendazole (1st dose during 4th to 6th months of pregnancy and 2nd dose during 7th to 9th months of pregnancy). Do not take de-worming tablets during the first three months of pregnancy.
