Around 60 minutes of daily exercise is plenty for these pooches. Because of their flat faces, Frenchies can have severe breathing problems so it's best to do short, low-intensity walks. One way you can do this is by having multiple gentle walks a day with plenty of rest in between.
Can French Bulldogs go on long walks?
An adult French Bulldog walk length can be as far as 3 miles. I walk my own Frenchie this far and this long many mornings through our local forest (providing its not too hot). He then demands a further afternoon walk of around 1.5 miles. At the very least, our Frenchie is getting 3 miles a day in walks.
How many times a day does a French Bulldog need to be walked?
They are a lively breed so do need a minimum of one hour of exercise each day, despite their small size. Several short walks throughout the day is recommended. As they are a brachycephalic breed, they should not be over-exercised during the warmer weather as they have trouble breathing and can overheat.
Can French bulldogs be left alone all day?
Put simply; French Bulldogs do not do well alone. French Bulldogs cannot be left alone all day, and if you're even considering doing this, chances are you're going to have a very unhappy puppy or dog on your hands. Some Frenchies can't even handle being without their owners by their side for a few moments.
