How do I get a full AKC registration?
Limited Registration can be changed to Full Registration only by the litter owner(s). The litter owner(s) will need to obtain the Application to Revoke Limited Status. That form will then need to be completed and sent to our Raleigh address with the processing fee.
What does full AKC registration mean?
Full registration is just what it sounds like: It has all the perks of being registered with the AKC. It is designed mostly for those who breed dogs, as it certifies the dog to breed and participate in dog shows. For the most part, full registration is only done by those who plan on breeding their dogs.
Is AKC registration a one time fee?
The fee is a one time fee but prices vary by which deal you buy. I bought Platinum (I think) for all my dogs and that's around $85. I would register in case you decide to do the Canine Good Citizen or any AKC training course/test.
What is the benefit of AKC registration?
Register your purebred dog with the AKC®. Permanently record your name and your dog's place in breed history. Become part of the nationwide AKC voice championing canine health research, search-and-rescue teams, acceptable care and conditions for dog kennels, and responsible dog ownership.
