Puppies should be wormed every two weeks until twelve weeks of age, then monthly until six months of age. Once they have reached six months of age, a puppy can transfer onto an 'adult' worming schedule.

Can I worm my dog every 2 weeks?

Yes she sure can. It can take up to 1 week to rid the first round of worms in her system. Then as the worms in her system go through their 2 week life cycle (from baby worms to adult worms that you see in the poop) they should be treated again as a re-emergence of worms is seen.

How often should a puppy be dewormed?

Puppies and Kittens need to be dewormed more often: It is recommended that your puppy or kitten is dewormed every 2 weeks until they reach 3 months of age. Puppies and kittens are usually born with parasites passed on from mom (even if mom is dewormed) before they are born.

Can I deworm my puppy 2 weeks in a row?

Before you pick them up from your breeder or rescue center, your puppy should be wormed by them every week from two/three weeks until they are twelve weeks old.

Can you deworm a puppy too often?

We advise regular worming of puppies from birth to 6 months of age. Puppies 6 months of age and adult dogs are advised to be routinely wormed three to four times a year. It is safest to discuss which wormer to use with your vet to ensure it is safe for your dog, its life stage and that the correct dose is given.
