Take your Alaskan Malamute with you whenever you can. If there's two humans to one Alaskan Malamute, you can take them to the shop with you and alternate who waits outside. Engage them in play while you're watching TV – if you throw the toy for them, that'll be enough to keep them occupied while you're relaxing.
What kind of toys do Alaskan malamutes like?

Namely the Kong Extreme, Kong Stuff-a-Ball and Kong Ball (beware of the weight of this one – it can easily destroy a window, TV or anything else on its way). They often like to swim and they do love snow and sledding activities. They can be jumpers and diggers, so make sure your fences are secure. A Malamute is often inclined to be very talkative and they will often howl if left alone for too long in the backyard.
