【Expert answer】
Any Q

Depending on what kind of worms your dog has, you may or may not see worms in their stool in the days following a deworming treatment. Most deworming products treat roundworms, hookworms and whipworms by paralyzing and killing the parasites; tapeworms are killed and broken up into smaller segments.

What happens to roundworms after deworming?

Most deworming treatments work in two to six hours after administration. Some medications will dissolve the worms while some will paralyze them. How do you know when roundworms are gone?

Once you stop seeing any worms coming out of your dog's anus, this means that she is now recovering from the infestation. As long as you stop seeing dead worms in dog poop, or live ones coming out of your dog's anus, your pooch should be on the road to recovery. And, if your pup isn't coughing, that's a good sign, too.
