What happens if you take too much dewormer?

In proper doses, this is a very safe and effective medication. However, when significantly overdosed, this medication can cause drooling, vomiting, weakness, heart arrhythmia's, and severe neurologic signs such as ataxia, seizures, blindness and potentially death.

Can deworming kill a dog?

After worming your pet, your dog may pass out dead worms and this is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Sometimes, they may show some slight movement, such as a flicking motion, but the worms will go on to die.

Can puppies die from deworming?

Although different types of worms are harmful in different ways, the general description of a worm is that it is a parasite that will make your pup ill. Medication supplied by your vet will cause the parasites to die, hopefully without adverse effects on your pup.
