How often should a lurcher be fed?
As greyhounds and lurchers are thin dogs, their stomachs cannot take the amount of food that some breeds of dogs who need only one meal a day can take at one sitting, and they need two meals a day, one at breakfast time and another in the late afternoon or early evening.
What is the best food to feed a retired Greyhound?
A kibble with around 20 percent protein content is appropriate for greyhounds in retirement, according to the Retired Greyhound Trust, and the best foods will have chicken, beef, fish, lamb, buffalo or a similar protein as the number one listed food ingredient on the label.
