Why is Doodle so bad?

Doodles however have gotten a bit of a bad reputation in many purebred-dog circles. It is claimed that by intentionally producing mixed-breed dogs, the purpose of the breeds is destroyed. I don't agree with that – give me all the Doodles! Every breed originally was developed for some kind of purpose.

What problems does Doodle have?

Hip dysplasia. Eye disease like PRA, cataracts, retinal dysplasia. Thyroid issues like hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. Bloat.

Why did the creator of the Labradoodle regret it?

Conron's regret stems from what he describes as “unethical, ruthless people [who] breed these dogs and sell them for big bucks”, even as, he says, health problems abound. “I find that the biggest majority are either crazy or have a hereditary problem,” he said.
