【Expert answer】
Any Q

The virus that causes the disease known as “parvo”, canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV), first emerged among dogs in Europe around 1976. By 1978 the virus had spread unchecked, causing a worldwide epidemic of myocarditis and inflammation in the intestines (gastroenteritis).

How did the first dog get parvo?

Parvo can be found in almost any environment. It is transmitted when a susceptible dog comes in contact with the virus. This includes contact with the feces of an infected dog, or objects that contain the virus (shoes, clothes, bedding, bowls, grass, carpets, floors, etc).

Who made parvo virus?

The first human parvovirus that was discovered was the B19 parvovirus. This virus was discovered by a virologist named Yvonne Cossart in London in the 1970¹s while investigating laboratory assays for hepatitis B.
