【Expert answer】

Why shouldn't you get a greyhound?

Greyhounds are easy live with but they do have special needs. Their lack of body fat, long thin bones, fragile skin, and sensitive souls means they need to be protected from extremes of temperature, rough environments, and inappropriate handling.

Are greyhounds boring?

Greyhounds are generally relaxed by nature, with many happy to snore the day away while you are at work. But all dogs, greys included, can get bored, resulting in behaviour such as pining, barking or chewing the remote control.

Do greyhounds smell doggy?

Greyhounds have virtually no “doggy” odor, even when wet. They have short hair and shed very little. They do not require grooming other than an occasional bath, brushing and nail clipping.

Why do greyhounds cry so much?

Greyhounds communicate with you by whining. Whining to be let in, to eat, to play, to get up on the bed — you name it and they'll talk (whine) to you about it.
