Can dogs pass worms onto each other?
roundworms are contagious to other dogs but they cannot be passed from dog to dog just by being int he same room. However, if the dogs have defecated in the room and there are traces of the stool on the floor there is a chance that the worms can be passed from dog to dog.
How are worms in dogs transmitted to other dogs?
As we mentioned above, roundworms in dogs can be transmitted via the prenatal and/or nursing process, by feeding on an infected animal, or by contact with the infected feces of another animal. Roundworm eggs found in one dog's fecal matter can also be contagious to other dogs.
Can dogs pass worms to other dogs by licking?
Parasites like hookworm, roundworm, and giardia can be passed from dog to human through licking. Salmonella, too, can be passed from your dog to you, or vice versa.
