Do Lurchers sleep a lot?

For every hour my lurcher is on his feet, he will spend three hours sleeping it off. They are adorable! From their bright glossy eyes, their pricked up ears, and their big goofy noses to their long, swishy waggy tails, lurchers are hard not to fall head over heels with once you get to know one personally.

How often do Lurchers sleep?

They are very tactile and like to snuggle up to you. Professional couch potatoes, many greyhounds sleep as much as 16 – 18 hours a day and you will also be amazed and amused by their ability to sleep in very odd positions!

Are Lurchers lazy?

Contrary to what people usually think, Greyhounds and Lurchers are often couch potatoes and need very little exercise. How long should Lurchers be walked for?

For most Lurchers, you should aim for at least 40 minutes of exercise per day. Whilst this goal may seem low, it's all thanks to their sighthound heritage. Contrary to popular belief, sighthounds don't need tons of exercise. In fact, they love to lounge around all day, making them low maintenance pets.
