【Expert answer】
Any Q

Because worms are so common in puppies, vets recommend de-worming them for the first time when they're 2 to 3 weeks old. Worms can pass from mother to baby before birth or soon after, through their milk. It will take more than one dose.

When should you worm puppies for the first time?

Worming the puppies: Pups should be wormed for the first time at 2 weeks of age, then at 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks old (fortnightly until 12 weeks of age). After this they can be wormed monthly until they are 12 months old.

Can I deworm my puppy myself?

A. You need a veterinarian's help in diagnosing not only if your dog does indeed have intestinal worms but also exactly what kind of parasites they are. Without that knowledge, it's impossible to choose the correct medication to treat the pests.
