What potatoes can you eat on keto?
To maintain a healthy diet, choose a low-carb alternative to white potatoes, such as cauliflower, rutabaga, or turnip. While sweet potatoes are known as a good carb option, they are still too high-carb for keto. The alternatives mentioned will not spike your blood sugar and can be used in several keto recipes.
Can you have potatoes on keto?
Starchy vegetables contain more digestible carbohydrates than fiber and should be limited on the ketogenic diet. These include corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes and beets.
Which potatoes are lowest in carbs?
One 5-inch sweet potato has about 26 grams of carbohydrates. In a low-carb diet, one sweet potato has half of the calories from carbohydrates that you may be allowed. But that's still less than the carb content of a white potato: 35 grams, on average. That's also less than those sweet potato fries.
