Is Pheasant OK for dogs?

【Expert answer】
Any Q

Can dogs eat pheasants? Yes you can. You can either feed skinned and whole or feed the carcass after removing the best meat for yourself, though I know the thought of letting your gundog chomp through a bird will scare some members (eating chicken carcass and freezer burnt birds has not made mine hard mouthed).

Is pheasant OK for dogs to eat?

Pheasant meat is considered a lean protein, so in order to keep your pup of any age in top shape, protein rotation is highly recommended. This will ensure they are getting a variety of amino acids for overall health. Readily available proteins such as turkey, pork, fish, venison, lamb and beef are excellent choices!

What meat is safest for dogs?
