How long does campylobacteriosis last for?
Most people who become ill with campylobacteriosis get diarrhea (loose stool/poop) which may be bloody, cramping, abdominal pain, and fever within two to five days after exposure to the bacteria. Nausea (a feeling of sickness in the stomach) and vomiting may also occur. The illness typically lasts about one week.
How can campylobacteriosis be controlled?
Keep raw poultry away from other foods. Use separate cutting boards and clean them properly. Use another cutting board for fresh fruits and vegetables, and other foods. Clean all cutting boards, countertops, and utensils with soap and hot water after preparing any type of raw meat.
Can Campylobacter in dogs go away on its own?
