Roundworms measure anywhere between three to five inches long and look like spaghetti noodles. They steal nutrients from the food your cat ingests. The worms then produce eggs, which are eliminated through the feces. On occasion, you may be able to see the roundworms moving around in your cat's poop or vomit.
Why are worms crawling out of my cat?
When segments of the tapeworm break off and pass into the cat's stool, they can be seen crawling on the surface of the feces. These proglottid segments look like grains of cooked white rice or cucumber seeds. Less commonly, segments are seen moving around the cat's anus.

A tapeworm body consists of multiple parts, or segments, each with its own reproductive organs. Tapeworm infections are usually diagnosed by finding segments—which appear as small white worms that may look like grains of rice or seeds—on the rear end of your cat, in your cat's feces, or where your cat lives and sleeps.
Can worms crawl out of cats bum?
Each of these seed-like proglottids, as they're called, can contain dozens of tapeworm larvae. Important: If you see a tapeworm segment coming out of your cat's anus, do not attempt to pull it out! If the worm is long and wrapped around his intestines you could cause serious internal damage. Call your vet immediately.
