Bordetella vaccine – Every six months. Leptospirosis vaccine – Annually. DAPP – (Canine Distemper) – Every 3 years.
Do dogs need 3 distemper shots?
Dogs should receive vaccination against canine distemper starting at six weeks, then every two to four weeks until 16 weeks of age. A booster shot is provided at 12 months and then every three years.
Do puppies need 3 or 4 distemper shots?
Most vaccines are given every 2-4 weeks until actual protection is expected to be achieved. Depending on your puppy's age, this may require 3-4 vaccinations for the Distemper/Parvo series until your puppy is 16-20 weeks of age.
How far apart should distemper shots be given?
The distemper/parvo vaccination is typically given at 6-8 weeks of age and boosted 2 times at three week intervals, and again a year later. Like rabies, after the first year, distemper/parvo can be given as a 3 year vaccine, ONLY if the pet has stayed on a veterinarian recommended vaccine schedule.
